SAFA Congratulates Orlando Pirates and Supersport United

SAFA CONGRATULATES ORLANDO PIRATES AND SUPERSPORT UNITED
The South African Football Association (SAFA) would like to congratulate Premier Soccer League clubs Orlando Pirates and SuperSport United following their victories in continental club competitions over the weekend. 
Pirates progressed to the next round of the African Champions League with a 9-0 aggregate win over Djabal of the Comoros after walloping them 4-0 in the second leg while United advanced with a 4-3 aggregate win over CS Don Bosco of the Democratic Republic of Congo on the Confederation Cup despite being held to a 3-3 draw at the weekend. The Pretoria side had beaten the DRC side 1-0 away. 
“Let me take this opportunity to congratulate both Orlando Pirates and SuperSport United on their achievements on the continent. As the association, we are proud of this and are encouraged to see our professional clubs doing well on the continent. Their success bodes well for soccer in the country,” said SAFA President Kirsten Nematandani. 
Pirates will play Zambian champions Zanaco next in the round of 16 while SuperSport will now play Petro Atletico of Angola in the second round of the African Confederation Cup. 
The first leg for Bucs will be played in Zambia on the weekend of March 15-17 with return leg matches on April 5-7 and United will be away in the first leg match to be played on the weekend of March 15-17 with the second leg match scheduled for April 5-7.
