Four Polokwane City players pass away in a car accident

Early reports from the South African Police Service say that four Polokwane City football players have lost their lives in a car accident at Nobody, just outside Polokwane.

The incident took place late Sunday afternoon (11 November 2012).

According to information from the police, the team (Polokwane City), formerly known as Bay United, was coming from playing a First Division fixture against Atlie FC (formerly known as FCAK) at the University of Limpopo.

The two teams had played to a 1-1 draw.
