Absa, in partnership with the South African Football Association (SAFA), launched the highly anticipated Absa Women's League.
The interest and optimism around women's soccer is increasing significantly and the Absa Women League is indicative of this.
The League is divided up into two phases; with the first being played in the 52 Regions of SAFA with an average of 12 teams per region.
The second phase will comprise all the regional winners competing in a provincial play-off. Two teams from this phase will be promoted to the Provincial Women's League (Sasol League).
