JDR Stars were dethroned at the top of the Guateng ABC Mostepe League table, while Moroka Swallows still have chance of survival with two games to go.

JDR dropped to third spot in the table, after they suffered a 2-0 loss to Orange Vaal Professionals, who have now jumped up to second position.

Maccabi FC took full advantage of JDR's slip up, as they cruised to a 3-1 win over Vaal Professionals to move top of the table with two games to go.

Maccabi sit at the summit with 58 points, three points ahead of Orange Vaal Professionals and JDR Stars. Although Professionals boast a superior goal difference to other two contenders.

Moving to the relegation battle, where as many as four teams are still battling to beat the drop with two games remaining.

Moroka Swallows kept their survival hopes alive, after they drew 1-1 with AmaBee FC to move within a point of 14th place Garankuwa United, who lost 2-0 to African All Stars.

Vaal Professionals, who occupy 13th spot, suffered defeat at the hands of Maccabi, and are now only one point ahead of Swallows.

M. Tigers are not out of the picture just yet, as their 2-2 draw with Leruma United leaves them three points above the bottom two.

Mofolo Bet Stars, meanwhile, remain rooted to the foot of the table, after they were beaten 3-1 by Alexandra United and they now sit seven points from safety.
