15 June 2019 – Banyana Banyana captain Janine van Wyk was gutted but also proud of the way the team gave their all in their clash against China in the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France.
The clash took place on Thursday night (13 June) at Parc des Princes in Paris.
Banyana Banyana lost 1-0 to the Asians, their second loss in two matches in the tournament.
The squad has now moved to Montpellier, south of France, where they will take on Germany in the last Group B fixture on Monday, 17 June at Stade de la Mosson.
Van Wyk says they had a great experience.
